I as Light, You as Light.
私の制作は、和紙の上に墨を落とす、一滴の対峙から始まります。 和紙は墨を迷いなく吸い込み、墨は繊維を伝って自らの輪郭を広げていきます。点が隣り合う点と浸透し合い、共鳴するとき、そこには「木漏れ日」のような光の干渉が生まれます。 墨が紙の深部へと沈み、境界が曖昧になっていく様は、仏教哲学の「縁起（Pratityasamutpada）」が示す、個と全が不可分に繋がり合う姿そのものです。
この調和の中に、線香の火による「穿孔」を施します。 紙を焼き抜く行為は、表と裏、あるいは生と死といった二元論を超越する「不二」を刻み込みます。描かれた墨の点と、焼かれた空（くう）の点が共存するとき、作品は平面であることを超え、実存を伴う物質へと変容します。
和紙の上の点は「私」であり、「あなた」です。 個が個のまま響き合い、他者と共鳴することで生まれる安らぎを、私は紙の上に定着させたいと願っています。 この共鳴のなかに、私たちが等しく抱える孤独への慈しみと、共に在ることの温かさを見出していただければ幸いです。

My creative process begins with a quiet confrontation: a single drop of ink falling onto washi paper. The paper absorbs the ink without hesitation, and the ink spreads through the delicate fibers, defining its own contours. As each dot bleeds into and resonates with the next, an interference of light occurs—a phenomenon reminiscent of komorebi, the sunlight filtering through trees. The way the ink settles into the depths of the paper, blurring all boundaries, embodies the very essence of Pratityasamutpada (Dependent Origination)—the Buddhist philosophy that the individual and the whole are inseparably interconnected.
Into this harmony, I introduce "perforations" created by the small fire of an incense stick. This act of burning through the paper carves into it the sense of Advaya (Non-duality), transcending binary oppositions such as front and back, or life and death. When the ink-painted dots coexist with these burnt points of emptiness, the work transcends the two-dimensional plane, transforming into a physical substance imbued with existence.
Each dot on the washi is "I" and is "You." I seek to fix upon the paper the tranquility that arises when individuals resonate as they are, in harmony with one another. Within this quiet resonance, I hope you find a compassion for the solitude we all share, and the warmth of simply being together.
